I'm offering this Agent with the factory shroud. The hammer shroud provides the best of both worlds, sort of like the S&W Bodyguard. Unlike the Bodyguard the shroud is removable. Very slightly larger than a J frame, the Colt carries 6 rounds of .38 Special. I have a 1975 vintage Agent, which differs in the barrel contour and the grip frame length. It is my favorite carry gun. I bought this one for the Mrs., since she is having trouble racking the slide on her Shield. Alas, the Shield is prettier. No finish wear, no "old gun" look. I don't need two of them.
This gun has been carried, or at least stored in a holster. There is some loss of finish on the bottom of the frame on the right side and also at the top along the right side of the top strap. One flute on the cylinder had some surface rust which I got off, but it needs to be polished down a bit more and cold blued. I'd rate the finish at about 70%. Has faux MOP grips that would make any New Orleans pimp proud. The mechanics I would rate at 100%. This is a carry gun, not a collector piece. I'll get some pictures up later. In the meantime, I can email pics if you're interested.
Asking $400 plus shipping. My FFL charges a flat $50 for insured shipping. Looking at well known auction sites, these 1st gen Agents with shroud sell for $600 + with good cosmetics. The cosmetic issues with this gun are all easily addressed. I just don't have time right now and need to move this gun.
