SPF. H&R produced only a few hundred "Eureka" target .22 revolvers from mid-1939 to 1940. Derived from the break-top Sportsman Single Action, the Eureka (Model 196) has been called the ultimate target revolver (it comes from Walter Roper's tenure at H&R). It is amazing to shoot: accurate and smooth as glass. It has specially cut rifling, a cylinder the exact length of a .22 cartridge, short-action hammer, and a crisp trigger pull of less than 2 pounds. I am selling Eureka revolver #174. It functions perfectly and will put 50 rounds into a one-hole group at 50 feet. I estimate its cosmetic condition at 80% with muzzle wear, a cylinder line, and a few rust spots. Of course, it is C&R eligible. $550 includes shipping.
