Up for grabs is a 1955 Production K-22 Masterpiece. 6” barrel, mechanically perfect. Comes with original box, I believe. This was pre label, but the ser.# written in faded grease pencil on the bottom of the gold box matches the revolver ser.#, which is also on the cylinder (K242xxx). The right grip is stamped 80085, not the gun ser.#, but could still be the original grips? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Definitely the right era, however.
The cylinder has a turn line and the muzzle has a slight bluing loss on each side, very light blue discoloration under right grip, around back screw, that wouldn't show up in pics, nothing that would catch my fingernail, no freckling or rust anywhere. Very good condition for a 60 year old gun. Grips are in good condition with no visible cracks, splits, or repairs. Some checkering damage and a small void on the right panel. No noticeable dings, gouges or scratches on this gun, I give it a conservative rating of 88%. The color case hardening on the hammer and trigger is very nice. Box is strong 75%. No docs or tools and the S&W paper is definitely not original. I have 22 detailed pics available for your perusal.
