**Sold Pending Funds** S&W model 28-2 Highway Patrolman 4" barrel .357 mag in rare bright nickel. Spoke with S&W and it appears that although this is not one of the ultra rare 5" bbl nickel models (there is NO 'N' stamped on the cylinder face or under the grips), it is the orig factory nickel finish. Their CS rep confirmed that some models (other than the 5" versions) were made with a bright nickel finish. I am certainly not a S&W expert, so I cannot guarantee this, but am relaying what I have been told. They also were able to tell me that the gun was manufactured in late 1974. I do work in the gun industry and have seen many refinishes, and this absolutely looks like a factory finish. The stamping and markings are crisp and deep, unlike many instances in which the refinish tends to fill in (somewhat) many of the markings. In any case, it's in excellent shape. Only two minor rub spots. One under the trigger guard and one just behind the cylinder on the left side.

Functions perfectly - firing pin in great shape. Cylinder lock up is tight. Round count unknown, but bore rifling in exc shape. Found the orig wood S&W grips and put them back on. Will also come with the Hogue grip. Also comes with black leather Bianchi right hand holster and hard case.
