I have a first year production Smith & Wesson Pre Model 43, 3 1/2 inch blue barrel, called the 1955 22/32 Kit Gun Airweight. This double action revolver was built on the J frame, 3-screw alloy frame and has a 6 shot fluted cylinder. This revolver has an early flat latch with a large serrated ramp front site. It has the original walnut grips with the diamond in the center and silver S&W medallion. These grips are numbered. It comes with the factory old style labeled box, the SN written on bottom (not sure if original) and cleaning tools. The revolver has a really low serial number, 6495 and was shipped in November 1954, the 1st year ever made. The SN is located on the butt,cylinder, right grip, and barrel flat. There is muzzle wear and a turn line. No rust or pitting. It has the original blue finish.

It is a Model 63, double action revolver, 4 inch pinned barrel, J frame revolver. The SN: M112045 dates this Model 63 as being shipped in 1979, an early production. The original labeled box and paperwork (parts list & instructions) is included. There is not rust or pitting on this Model 63. It is good as it looks.

I also have two Smith & Wesson Pre Model 34, 22/32 Kit gun's, 22 LR with a 4 inch Blue barrel. Some refer this revolvers as the Model of 1953 22/32 Kit Gun. Both are double action I frame revolver, round butt, with the original numbered walnut grips with diamond middle & S&W medallion. The blue comes with red box and SN 7824 (Dec 1954) and the nickel has a really early SN 2976, shipped in July 1954,
