Default SOLD PLEASE CLOSE S&W 36 No dash 3" Blue Sq. Butt

Hi there,

Picked up what has turned out to be an extra J-frame shooter grade 36 no dash, serial number 338XXX. Wanted to offer here before losing it to a show crowd. My first classified here, so happy to answer any questions or correct any mistakes in formatting of the ad.

Early to mid-60s I believe, no letter, box, or tools however. Good bluing, some holster wear, most notably on muzzle and less-so on cylinder, light ring on cylinder. Light speckling on the backstrap, have an additional photo of it, trying to take a better one (my old Nikon finally died, so I'm on the phone cam). Strong rifling/barrel, unable to take a decent pic there unfortunately, can try again if requested. Earlier rounded cylinder release, narrower barrel I believe as well. If I recall the grips are numbered to gun, can re-check if requested. Have had some light strikes with HPR ammo, not so with Federal; this is all I've tried in the gun to check in the action. Indexes correctly in SA and DA.

I have tried to show any cosmetic flaws in the photos to the best of my ability; I believe they look worse in the images than they actually are but that is of course a matter of opinion.

In the spirit of a happy new years to all fellow Smith aficionados I'm reducing the asking to $350 for the holiday. Forgot to mention, FTF in the Maricopa county area is ok with me, provided all laws and formalities are followed. Will still happily consider best offers and potential trades; older small Colts and Smiths especially. As from my days in retail, item sold as is, no returns.

Sold privately to forum member 1/2/17.
