$1,640 S&W Performance Center 327 TRR8 With Aimpoint Micro T-2 sight for Picatinny Rail. Very accurate. Less than 200 rounds, used on two hunting trips this year.
How I came to the asking price of $1,620:
S&W Performance Center TRR8 MSRP $1,329
Midway USA discounted price on Aimpoint $785 (MSRP $872)
Various additions and work detailed below $410
(seller and buyer split shipping & insurance)
I love this gun, it is simply redundant of my M&P R8, I could of sold either but the TRR8 is newer. I have ordered a Kimber Light Police Tactical Rifle and Leupold Mark IV from our LE distributor, and I have to pay for it when it arrives.
The TRR8 is an extremely accurate weapon with shrouded barrel design; along with the M&P R8, the best shooting most balanced revolvers I have ever owned. Handles hunting load .357 Magnum with no pain. Top and bottom rails easily removable, very precise fit. Iron sights work with top rail on and optic off.
Extras:
1. REVOLVER SMITH: TRR8 has been to TK Custom to have internals polished (master revolver smith was Eli) and received the basic CCW job ($200). DA was delivered from S&W nice, but now after the TK work the DA is glass smooth as a result. If you shoot Federal the DA pull can be relieved a bit, but I have a lot of Remington ammo so DA is medium weight pull.
2. HOGUE WOOD - Comes with both the original Hogue Rubber Grips and the Hogue Rosewood (after market) grips pictured ($108).
3. HOLSTER - Kydex holster pictured from Speed Beez so the weapon draw is fast and with optics on - I want to say that holster was like $70 ish.
4. CLIPS - I'll send at least four moon clips with it, two alloy and two carbon steel.
5. LEATHER CASE - Also provided is a zippered leather case that fits the gun with optic very nicely. $50
6. Top Picatinny rail is set by TK Custom with LocTite Blue so it can be simply removed with 3/32 allen wrench without heat. Bottom rail (weapon light) is not attached, but comes with weapon, and is easily securely attached via three 3/32 allen screws..
7. Extra Aimpoint Tool ordered from Midway USA - adjusts windage and elevation, quickly mounts and dismounts on pica tinnyrail, and opens and closes waterproof battery compartment.
8. Total additions ca. $410.
The Micro T-2 Aimpoint is the recently released Second Generation. Google the reviews. Incredible optics, orders of magnitude better than the cheaper stuff. Five-year battery. 12 Brightness Settings. Waterproof to 80 feet. 2 MOA dot. Only 4.9 oz. Easy to mount on your AR or Tactical Shotgun. Once zeroed stays zeroed even when mounting and dismounting. Does NOT stay zeroed if exchanged among different weapons like your revolver and an AR 15 (but easy to zero).
The Aimpoint has an MSRP of $872, Midway USA offers the site discounted at $785, be sure to choose the Picatinny rail mount to see the right price.
I have sold two PC 627's, one PC 686+, and one PC 586 L-Comp on this site over the years with zero complaints.
