This is a rare, no longer mfg., Anschutz single-shot silhouette rifle with the famed 54 action. The two-stage trigger pull was set by the factory at 6 oz. and has never been adjusted. I purchased it approx. 6 yrs. ago from a close friend who bought it new from Champion Shooters in 1984. It was then used for a couple of seasons of silhouette matches at the NRA Whittington Center in Raton, NM. I also intended to use it for competition but never did, and it has mostly sat in my safe unused. It has had impeccable maintenance throughout its life and is superbly accurate. Not to be confused with the more common "54 Match," "54 Super Match" and various sporter-type Anschutz rifles. Comes with original box, packaging, manual (incl. factory test target), and torque wrench, all as originally delivered in 1984. Condition is probably 95% as shown in photos.
The few sales I have uncovered in recent years show selling prices from $1,650 to $2,400, so I am asking
$1,650 in the hopes of a reasonably quick sale. Buyer's FFL must be authorized to accept delivery from a private, non-FFL seller. Cashier's or certified check, USPS money order, or bank-to-bank wire transferred funds accepted. Buyer pays shipping & ins. costs with shipper of his/her choice. Please feel free to pm with any questions. I am in New Mexico. More pics to follow.
