Reduced:Pre-Model 26, 45 ACP Target Revolver, 5-screw
Here is a Smith and Wesson 1950 Target Model with the very rare light barrel on the 5-screw N-Frame. The diamond Magna grips are period correct for the gun but are stamped with a different serial number. Gun is in perfect shape with a fine bore and some very minor blue wear around the muzzle. Made around 1953-54 by serial number. Only 2,768 ever made from 1950-1961, with far fewer of these are this earlier 5-screw variant. This has a scarce and desirable Micro cockeye hammer installed, a non-factory option used by serious target shooters of the era. A S&W Target or Standard Hammer would be easily interchanged if so desired, but I rather like the Micro Hammer on this particular firearm. Email me for detailed pictures. Inspection period of one week, your satisfaction guaranteed. The 4th SC of S&W list this revolver in Excellent Condition as being worth $3200, and that is about where this one shakes out. $2,100 shipped to your FFL, although I would prefer to meet if you are near Charleston SC. Feel free to make an offer via PM or email. [email protected]

Back to the top. Let's see if a price reduction to $2,550 tempts someone...

Bump to the top with a price drop. Perhaps $2,400 for a gun valued over $3K will appeal? Perhaps an auction site is the way to go, but I would certainly prefer to deal directly with a fellow S&W forum member.
