WITHDRAWN Registered Magnum #698 for sale
REG. 698 for sale. First year gun, shipped from Smith & Wesson December 20, 1935 per Roy Jinks History letter.
Blued gun with 6.5" barrel.
Pre-war Magna stocks. (Originally shipped with walnut stocks and grip adapter. I do not have the grip adapter.)
King red reflector front sight (reflector is intact), with what I believe to be a King white outline rear blade.
Has factory stamp on left grip frame 9.45 which indicates the gun was in S&W shop September of 1945.
B on right side shows gun originally blued.
This gun has the beautiful original bright blue finish with some wear spots; cylinder turn line, bottom of trigger guard, along left side nearest muzzle and forward edge of the ejector housing.
Minor scratches appear variously.
All serial numbers match (frame, barrel, cylinder, yoke and ejector.) although I have not removed the rear sight for this verification.
SN 47176 with star on butt.
B and SN 47176 in ejector housing.
Magna stocks are in beautiful condition but are not serial stamped.
Muzzle at crown is in the white.
All historical paperwork shown below will accompany the gun.
