For sale or trade (see interests below) is my SW1911 "Billboard" model purchased recently in NIB condition and since fired 72 rounds. This is a JRE prefix gun, serial number 0106, making it an early version of Smith & Wesson's first foray into the 1911 market in the early 2000s. After buying this, I found a JRD prefix pistol that is even earlier in the series, and I have decided to keep that one and sell this one. Judge photos for yourself, but this is an exceptional condition gun. Comes with original box and label, papers, barrel bushing tool, and the two original Wilson Combat 8-round magazines because S&W used high-quality parts from existing manufacturers in the early SW1911s before tooling up to produce its own.
Price delivered from my FFL to yours, fully insured, is now $825. I am taking a loss on this gun because it is not NIB now that I have fired it. If you know SW1911s, then you know what is being offered here -- an outstanding 1911 that S&W did right from the very start.
Trade interests, with cash negotiable, are a S&W 3566 3.5" shooter grade semi-auto, or a S&W 650 or 651 revolver.
