For Sale:
Smith & Wesson 624 3" Lew Horton Edition (.44 special) -
$1200 (shipped to FFL) OBO SPF
Excellent condition. Purchased in 2015 and just sat in my safe. It includes an unmarked S&W box (not original to the pistol). No paperwork. Unfired by me.
This is the information given to me by the shop I purchased it from:
"S&W Model 624, Lew Horton, 3" revolver with a brilliant factory stainless steel build. This Model 624 has a serial number of ALW2264 and has been researched to be manufactured in 1985. The stainless steel finish is near flawless, all rifling mechanics are perfect.
A stainless steel version of the S&W Model 24, all 624s are .44 special. In 1985 Lew Horton, having noted the popularity of the Jovino snub nose conversions of various N-Frame guns, contracted with S&W to produce these 3" barreled guns. 5000 of these were made. Also, these guns have the N-Frame dimension round butt, not the slightly smaller K-Frame round butt of the Jovinos."
