A very nice 5 screw pre-model 25 .45ACP from 1956. The mechanics of this revolver, timing and lock up are excellent. The action is smooth like most mid-1950s N frame Smiths. I would rate the cosmetics as very good++. The original bright factory blue is quite nice with some thinning on the sideplate and frame (see photos). No freckling, rust or pitting. Case colors on the .500" target hammer and trigger are excellent. Don't think the diamond target stocks are original to the revolver because of the football speed loader cutout, but they are in nice condition. Now for the great news, this revolver is accurate! It is quite capable of shooting one ragged hole 6 shot groups at 25 yards with good ammo. I attribute its accuracy to the fact that each of the 6 chamber throats measures a tight .450". The bore is bright with excellent rifling. No box, but will ship in a padded pistol rug with the de-mooner and (5) moon clips shown in the photo. Additional photos available via email upon request.
