Excellent condition Nickel Viper. Unique serial number (M55880) that isn't in the Viper Range. Verified with Colt this is a Viper that shipped in August of 1977 to a San Bernardino, CA gun shop. Will include Colt Archive letter.
Nickel is extremely difficult to photograph, so I did the best I could. One angle will show a flaw, while another will show nothing. There are a few scratches on one part of the cylinder between a flute, front of right side of barrel, ding on front of barrel/sight area, ding on top strap, Ding on back of left grip panel, and some freckling on part of cylinder, around cylinder release, and hammer. I've highlighted all the flaws I could find, so the close-up pics will make them look worse than they really are or will look to the naked eye. I'm sure some will polish out. There's also some fogging around grip area.
I'm not a collector of Nickel guns, so I have no idea if this is normal or not for a 40 year old gun. This also has an Aluminum frame, so that may also affect the finish? It looks to have been fired, but not much.
Gun and letter only, no box or paperwork.
