Just recently joined this forum. Have had a blast so far! really interesting topics and even better....GREAT PEOPLE! so heres the deal..I posted looking for insight on a pre 17 I traded on. Everyone was very helpful and again..I thank you all! BUT...after considerable thought..Ive decided..Im going to put it out there for an interesting trade. The gun is a 6 in. pre 17 smith. .22 cal. in my opinion, its at about 90 plus % (BUT EVERYONES DIFF.) Serial number on the gun is K36X (3 digit). has the large ended extractor rod. Does show signs of finish wear commensurate with its age..although there is NO pitting or rust issues. All numbers match,,(unsure on grips as i simply didn't look after cleaning and re-assy.) Diamond grips..nice finish overall. Clean, sharp, crisp bore and rifling. Have not fired the gun, however, the timing and lock-up are as they should be. Ive attempted to load pics but I don't have a clue what I'm doing wrong..there is a pic on my entry into this forum thanks to a member who assisted me via email. I am interested in trading this firearm. I'm looking for a model 69 combat magnum. I value this gun at around 1350.00..but that's not etched in stone. I'm in Tenn.. If theres interest..I will be glad to email pics..that i know how to do! lol..

[email protected] again to all of you who assisted me. Pending trade fell thru. I am willing to trade this gun for a model 27 with an 8 3/8 barrel. Or sale at 1350.00 This gun has the large LERK all matching numbers with exception to the grips. They are not. I removed them and checked them.
