This fine five-screw revolver is a Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum (Pre-Model 27), Serial No. S 104143, featuring the popular 3-1/2 inch pinned barrel, and the sought-after factory nickel finish. Other factory features include: recessed (counter-bored) cylinder charge holes, a finely checkered top-strap with matching barrel rib, grooved front strap and back strap, adjustable rear sights, and checkered walnut stocks with silver Smith & Wesson medallions.
All parts have the same original serial number including the frame, barrel, cylinder, and ejector star. The stocks (grips) are period correct and numbered, but not to this revolver.
There is no rust or pitting anywhere on the revolver, including under the stocks. The overall condition is ~99% with only a few very light handling marks on the side plate and a nearly invisible turn line on the cylinder. The factory original nickel finish is mirror bright and clear with no fogginess or freckling, and the factory checkered walnut stocks are simply mint. Again, all numbers match on this revolver, except for the checkered walnut stocks.
Early production Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum (Pre-Model 27) revolvers (this revolver is fifth year production and shipped in 1954) are highly sought after, especially 3-1/2 inch factory nickel examples such as this. This sale is for the revolver only; no box, tools, or paperwork are included. Buyer pays actual insured shipping cost to your FFL.
The price is $2,500.00.
This revolver is also being offered for sale locally and on other websites.
