A beautiful custom rifle by Hambrusch of Ferlach, Austria, built on a commercial FN Mauser action. The engraved action has a tang safety and double square bridge scope bases holding a West German Zeiss Diavari-C 3-9x36 scope with German T* coated lenses. The 1" Talley rings are detachable. The 1/3 octagon 2/3 round 22" barrel chambered in 280 Ackley Improved has an excellent bore, integral top rib, integral front sight base and is extremely accurate. There is an engraved 3 round cartridge trap inletted into the toe of the stock and the floorplate is fully engraved. The rifle is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition, has a few handling marks on the European walnut stock and has a very interesting history. Length of pull to the original horn buttplate is 13 1/4". Peter Hambrusch in Ferlach quoted a current cost to build a comparable rifle of $13,000 plus the cost of scope and shipping, with a six month production period. Now posted elsewhere.
