1937 Smith & Wesson 5” 38/44 Heavy Duty. Shipped to City of Janesville Police Department on July 21 1937. All matching numbers.Held in hand it’s in overall great condition. As you look close you’ll see that it was holster carried some but not a lot and looking at the back of cylinder frame it apparently wasn’t shot a lot. They definitely look worse in the pictures, as the the photos really magnify the small flaws. It’s in the high 90’s condition wise. The worse area is probably the back part of the grips frame where it still has most of its bluing but some scratches. There are some marks and other spots on the gun and should show in the photos, but you would have a hard time upgrading this one. No box, but comes with factory letter.
