Would like to sell my old S&W 4th Model (I believe that is the correct designation) top break revolver. SA/DA, 5 shot chambered in .32 S&W Short. Nickel finish is in decent condition given it's age. Correct stocks believed to be original. Serial number is 74154 which I think puts it in the 1880s or thereabouts.
Appears fully functional although I have never shot it. Bore is black as would be expected from the black powder era but the rifling is still visible.
The rollmark on the top of the barrel rib is very hard to read. A knowledgeable person looked at it once and said they thought it may have had a longer barrel originally but it was shortened for easier concealment(?), but that's speculation.
Although it shoots what may be considered a black powder cartridge my FFL advises I treat this like any modern firearm and only ship to an FFL so shipping will be my FFL to your FFL anywhere in the lower 48 via USPS Priority Mail insured.
Asking $100 plus $45 shipping = $145 total (my FFL charges a flat $45 to ship a handgun.)
