Per Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson the 617 was introduced in 1989. Pistol has Target Trigger, Target Hammer, and S&W Factory Combat Wood Grips. Please see box photo with complete description. It is in great condition, looks to have been fired very little. It does have some safe scratches, a couple on the barrel. Nothing that could not be corrected. Overall great gun to add to a collection. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
