First off thanks for allowing me to join forum….something that has been on my list for quite some time…now that Iam retired making up lost time…anyway I have posted acouple of fine Smiths that I have had for quite sometime….when I asked my stepson to bring his 66-2 over so I could look at it and maybe post….he tells me he would like to sell it, to fund a high end rifle purchase….I realize iam a “new” member….with only acouple of posts…I have mostly bought and at times sold guns online…mostly on Gunboards and the Luger forum… and 24 HR Campfire….I can provide details if need be. Besides posting this on those forums….thought I would also like to post here for the forum members.
Now to the 66-2
Model 66-2 2½ in…sn 260Kxxx puts it in 1982 timeframe
2 grips , a very nice set of S&W finger groove combat and a set of Uncle Mikes 2 piece rubber
Gun is in very clean and tight….it still retains it satin finish… not polished… the older gent my stepson bought it from said he mostly shot .38 special thru it along with the occasional mag rd.
No box or accessories
