Up for sale is a nice "shooter grade" Nickel Model 39-2 with blued controls. Serial appears to date it to late 1979 from what I can find on the forum here.
***SPF to SirHRmechanic*** Asking $450 + actual shipping up to $40. My FFL seems to get stuff out the door for near $40, so I'll absorb any cost over that.
I don't have a ton of posts here, but for those of you ColtForum, I have a ton of history there under same username.
The "Good": Boy this thing is fun to shoot, and accurate too! For those inclined, would be great BBQ gun carry piece. Aftermarket fully adjustable MMC rear sights were installed at some point, and this has an orange front ramp. Includes holster and mag carrier.
The "Bad": There are fine surface scratches in the nickel. Someone brave enough could probably polish these out, but see the pics below and make your own determination. They are really hard to capture. When I hold it in my hands, unless the light hits it just right, I can't see them at all. I did my best to capture them. Also, No box, just what is pictured.
The "Ugly": Unfortunately the Pachmayr grips resulted in a couple of defects in the nickel under the grips. See detailed pictures below.
Beauty shots:
Surface scratches - This is likely a result of it spending most of it's life in this holster:
Under the grips. The flaws seen here are indeed in the nickel.
