***WITHDRAWN***
I am offering this one up for trade first.....may decide to sell outright at a later date.
A very scarce "Washington State Patrol" marked S&W Model 38/44 Heavy Duty with 6.5" barrel and original blue finish.
Here is a link to a thread I started on the two WSP's that I own...
Pair of "Washington State Patrol" 38/44 HD 6.5" *UPDATE**Letters from Roy Posted*
Very few of these are found with the WSP marking still intact on the back-strap.....most of them found today have had the roll mark ground off which was commonly done to those guns which were sold to the public.
This gun most likely went home with a retiring officer or some other official in Washington State.
I have the historical letter from Mr. Roy Jinks which will be included with the trade (see last photo below).
All trade offers must be in 100% original condition and with no mechanical issues.
Some items of interest would include pre-war Target Model S&W's especially one in 32-20 (.32 WCF) and .44 Special as well as the large frame "Outdoorsman".....no top-breaks.
I would also consider original condition early Winchester and Marlin lever actions.....in chamberings other than .30-30 or .32 Special.
U.S. Military firearms may also be of interest, especially Colt .45 1911's and 1911A1's that are in original condition with correct/matching parts.
I put a value in the range of $2,300 on this fine piece of Smith & Wesson law enforcement history......
The photos tell the story email me at

I am fortunate enough to own TWO of the WSP marked HD's so I thought I would test the waters to see what might be out there of interest.
