I bought this gun around 1984 and kept it in the Bianchi holster in a nightstand drawer. It has never been carried, other than 4 or 5 trips to an indoor range. Has had maybe 400-500 rounds fired through it. I do NOT have the original box or paperwork.
This is the early model 639 that had the round trigger guard, not the squared-off one. It has a de-cocking lever as a safety, so it can be fired double-action on the first shot and single action thereafter if you drop the hammer after chambering a round. You can also manually cock the hammer and fire the first round if you want to fire it single-action (after you have used the de-cocking lever).
Stocks are original, all parts are original, but the front sight ramp has been nail-polished orange; probably easily removed, I've never tried. The gun hasn't been fired for 10+ years.
I'm in San Diego county and would like to do the exchange here, preferably at Royal Loan where they know what they are doing and it goes fast.
NOTE; IF you want to do the PPT in Orange or LA counties add $100 because I hate driving up there!
There is one slight scratch on the right side of the slide that looks like a 1/2 inch hair lying on the slide. You can see it in the first photo. It probably can be polished out but I did not want to alter the finish so I haven't tried.
