S&W .32 Safety Hammerless (New Departure) First Model</td></tr></table>
CONDITION:
As I am not a gun collector let alone an expert, so I sought the opinions of S&W enthusiasts on the Antiques section of this forum and was told this revolver is considered to be in “Excellent” condition, retaining “between 90 and 95%, conservatively,” of its original finish, though as you can see in the photos is has some mottling and wear. It was test-fired (five shots) some years ago and works perfectly. It dry-fires strong and solid; all assemblies remain tight; parts move smoothly; the grips are lightly worn but without any cracks or chipping. Serial numbers match. This is a very good specimen of an early-to-mid 1890’s handgun. It would benefit from a good cleaning and some determined polishing, but I’ve made no effort to spruce it up in any way--the gun you see in the pictures is exactly the gun you get.
