I just found out it is one of the original Moutain Revolvers, s/n sequence BDW42**. However, I bought it w/mods
already done. So, please don't bag on me for ruining it, LOL.
It's a Moutain Gun, before they chose to market it with that term.
I've shot perhaps 30rds through it in comparison with my other brands' .44s and now looking to re-home this one.
It's obviously had Magna-Port's touches, but I can't verify the total extent. Obviously their porting, dual crane detents, and velvet hone finish
..& quite possibly their action work?.
For brevity, I've posted just the flaws. I note a slight mar at the bottom center of the trigger guard, and just to the right of the crane's pivot area. Some scratches were left at bottom left edge of trigger bevel/polish, and the side-plate gap seems a bit much. IF those don't turn you off, I am happy to send a full battery of larger pics to you via email.
