I'm selling a used S&W Model 657 .41 Remington Magnum.

3" barrel, satin stainless steel, Goncalo Alves combat grips, red ramp front sight and white outline rear sight.

There were only a few thousand of these manufactured in the mid-1980's as a Special Group.

This gun has only been fired a few times and is in excellent condition other than a scratch on the right side wood grip. The gun has been in storage for several years.

No box or paperwork.

I am asking $900 plus shipping to your FFL within continental USA only, where legal.

More pictures available upon request.

BTW, I tried to do my homework on estimating the value of this gun, but if any of the "experts" here know that this price is way out in left field, please let me know.

Thanks for looking.

Hey Wheatshocker, That sure would be a perfect match for my 3" 629 44 mag., but it's priced a little high. I just picked up my 629 on G.B. 2 weeks ago for 699.00 LNIB. I would really like to have this. If you don't get it sold for what you want I would be willing to work out something with you. Keep me in mind. Thanks, Rich

There was one recently posted in the revolver secton that was in a gun store in Idaho for 629 dollars. It didn't even look like it had a turn ring. That was probably a little on the low side.

I would expect a 3" 657 (gun only) to be priced around 700- 750 dollars, YMMV.

You could start lowering you price towards your minimum asking and see if you get any bites.

Wheatshocker: That is a beautiful firearm. S&W manufactured 5,490 model 657 three inch revolvers in 1986-1987. The 3 inch model 657's were the 1st 657's to be manufactured. Four and six inchers followed. With the original combat grips, your gun is priced very fairly, and probably a little south of what these guns are now going for. IMHO, a far better value than most other big bore snubbies. All the success on the sale. This should be gone soon!
