Hello all.... I have for sale today a S&W 4" pre 29 five screw with original box and accessories. I do not know if it has ever been fired or not. Very slight cylinder turn ring, tight lock-up... I would personally rate the gun at 93-95% and I would rate the box at 70%. The Coke bottle grips are about 90-94% condition. The pics here don't do this beauty justice. The serial number is S 1618xx. Any white coloring in the pics below are camera flash. I was asking $5000, price has now been lowered to $3700, (now $3400 plus shipping)to your FFL. You can contact me at [email protected]. Im not looking for any trades. Thank you for taking a look.

Hi sounds like a nice gun - way out of my league but I wanted to see the pics. Pic links didn't work for me - just thought I'd let you know. Could be my problem, I dunno...

I was making sure thats what he meant instead of the pics being too large or something. I had a problem with that awhile back. I am not a master of sizing or posting pics on the internet. What looks right to me, others have complained about being too large. One of these days, i'll get it right!

I honestly don't know what he meant. But I meant what I said. You've got a primo collector's item there with rare accessories. Best of luck.

Two questions. 1. Does it have any paperwork? 2. Is the box blue or black vinyl?

Thank you. In answer to your questions... There isnt any paperwork and the box is either such a dark shade of blue as to appear black, or it is black. The black sight adjustment tool is not aluminum.---Gary

If I understand correctly, the blue vinyl boxes were the very earliest, then were replaced with black vinyl. Yours is probably black?

The only reason I ask is because from a collector's standpoint, it might make a difference.

I took the box into better light and I still cant tell if the box is black and just slightly faded due to age or if it is very dark navy blue. I just cant tell.

I think that the early boxes had a round latch in front, not rectangular. Also, the only paperwork was a warranty card, I think.

Gentlemen,
This ad presents an opportunity for me to relay some data to you-

I have no problem with helpful data being posted to clarify points about a gun or the accessories.
In fact, that makes ads on this forum better.

However, I have requested that the extraneous posts STOP.
I would appreciate the cooperation of all.

I would like to invite ALL who use the Classifieds to read my sticky above titled "Do NOT Post in an ad............"

Here is a link to it:
