I had purchased two cool wheelies recently and now I've decided to only keep one. So up for trade is my 4" 5 screw K-38.

This one has the serial number of K1399xx. Dates it to about 1952.

I don't have anything specific I have in mind to trade for so e-mail me any and all offers. I believe this one is old enough to go C&R but I will be doing a FA/10 transfer for all those in state (MA). For out of staters, I'd like to stick with anything C&R just to avoid the FFL fees. Looking for lever action rifles, shotguns, small 38/357, anything semi auto. Try me. Worst I can say is no thanks.

Mechanically I'd give it a solid 9 and for finish, it's between 7-8 for it's age. Definitely been used and holstered as it's all honest wear on the bluing. No pitting or rust but the bluing is worn pretty thin on some areas. There is little freckling on the cylinder but it's nothing major.

I don't trust myself to open the side plate so I can't give you any info on that. With the exception of the grips, I do believe it's all original. Serial numbers match (frame, bbl, cylinder, yoke, under extractor star) serrated trigger and hammer. The trigger on these are legendary smooth and clean which this one doesn't disappoint. Lockup is tight and there is not forward/aft movement of the cylinder. The grips you see on it (smooth magnas) I am told are pretty scare but not correct.

Hope this covers all but if you have questions or need more pics, please email. I'm hoping to do something local but will ship C&R next day if you possess an 03. Other wise it will be shipped to your FFL. Thanks for looking.

Gun is dirty in this pic but the lighting is a bit better
