I should have better pics up tomorrow. I had a bunch taken, but can't find where I saved them so fresh ones tomorrow are apparently in order. Receiver is dated 1894, so this is a non FFL item and can be shipped direct to many (most?) states.
This was someone's old deer rifle for a great many years. Carbine length, nice action. I haven't fired it since I misplaced the ammo that I bought for it.
Since it was made before my Great-Grandmother was born, I have no idea of the round count and am not the original owner.
More information: stamped on the side s "U.S." above "Springfield Armory". Action says 1894, but according to this link
http://www.docstoc.com/docs/65...-KRAG-serial-numbers the serial number (14062) was made in 1895.
More pics, old J.C. Higgins pad that needs replacing, woodwork, etc. I'm assuming this to be a reblue at some point in its life. Ancient, highly adjustable, Redfield peep sight, currently set at about 75 yards by the looks of it.
$375 plus actual shipping or trade for...???
Things I'm particularly looking for:
Ruger Six Series Snub (pref. .357 mag and stainless)
K frame shooters (snub or otherwise, particularly a Model 15)
J frames
Other mfg (Colt, Charter, High Standard even) snubs
AR Parts kit
Interarms or Manuhrin (sp?) PPK
SKS rifle
