Default WTT: AR-15 For S&W FTF (IL)

Hello all, I have a new unfired Colt AR-15 A2 Sporter HBAR .223 for trade. I have the box, instruction booklet, sling, cleaning kit, 20 round & 30 round colt mags, and 2 non factory 40 round mags. I believe this is a "transition" gun? It has the flash suppressor, but not the bayonet lug. This gun is mint, just not my sort of gun, so I am looking to trade into a Mod 27 3.5" or 4" only, or a 2.5" Python preferrably Blue, must be mint. Not looking to sell outright and would like to keep it FTF so we both see what we are getting. Must have valid FOID. Located in the SW suburbs. I will post a pic of the AR as soon as I figure out how to.

John, Thanks for the offer but I am looking for older S&W's preferably N frames in 4" and under such as Mod 58, 520, 27, etc. Doesn't hurt to ask, Heck I had a guy offer to trade a Sigma for it! LOL!

One more time to the top then back to safe, I have had alot of offers, it's been fun, the best was a Bersa, whatever that is, I don't think I would even keep that in my tackle box, Oh well if anything I had a few good laughs.

Hi gunnut44,

I have a beautiful S-series Model 58 that I would consider offering as a trade item for your AR-15...

It currently has a set of new Executioner stags with medallions on it, not the target grips in the picture.

Only problem is...your AR-15 would need to be "pre-ban"...due to where I live.

If it is, and you're interested, let me know...I might have some "extras" to go with the 58.

Thanks.

moosehead, Thanks for the offer, but no thanks.

Guy's,
I know everyone wants a good deal, that is to be expected and I said it was not my type of gun, but I do know what it is worth, I like it, but if I could make a trade for something that I really, really like it would be better, so lets trade apples for apples.

Gunnut, I hope you didn't take offense at my offer? I know the Ruger is worth less that your AR-15, I would also offer Cash or other Trades to make up the difference.

Anyway, I also have a Colt 1911 A1 in very good condition, Made in 1965 according to the SN.
Also, I have a S&W 1917 in less than pristine condition that cold be thrown into the mix.

Thanks,
Jim
