Default FS: 3" Model 10, Victory Model, Pre-War Brit Service Revolver..

I have three revolvers for sale, first up is a 3" Model 10-7, pinned barrel, .38 Special caliber, import marked. This was a New South Wales, Australia police revolver. I have a Smith and Wesson letter (included in this deal) that shows the revolver was shipped to a distributor in Sydney, Australia September 29, 1978. I also have some correspondence from a retired New South Wales Police Officer who now teahces at thier police academy, discussing these 3" Model 10's. He says the 3" Model 10 was unique to the NSW Police Force, other Australian police agencys used 2" revolver for detectives, 4" revolvers for patrolmen. NSW police decided to issue the 3" to both detectives and patrolmen. Also included in this deal is a Hellwig police holster that I got from the above retired NSW police officer, marked on the back "NSW Police", a Ross concealment holster and a NSW police patch (and S&W letter and all correspondence).

The revolver has wear and scratches one would expect from a police revolver, wear on the muzzle and cylinder from holstering, etc. It is mechanically sound, I have shot it and it shoots great, sights regulated dead on and deadly accurate. Price for the whole package, revolver, two holsters, patch and letters is $300, if you want just the revolver, price is $250. Shipping to your FFL will be $25 extra. If you buy it and don't like it for any reason, return it in same condition and I'll refund your purchase price, but I can't refund shipping and FFL fees. I will meet for a face to face transaction with Virginia residents within a reasonable driving distance from the Eastern Shore, like Norfolk or Virginia Beach.

Here's some pics, and descriptions of the other two revolvers for sale will follow as replys to this post, as I'm still trying to figure out this new program...

Default Victory Model

Next up is a WW2 Victory Model, 4" .38 Special. This is a Defense Supply Commision Victory, shipped December 1, 1942 to Great Northern Paper Company, Millinocket, Maine (verified by Smith and Wesson letter, included in this deal). The revolver has been reblued, and grips checkered. A lot of the finish has worn to a brown patina, and it has holster wear at the muzzle and cylinder face. Lanyard ring is intact.

I wondered why a paper mill needed armed gaurds during WW2, but research shows Great Northern Paper Company supplied newsprint to all the papers in the Northeastern U.S., as well as supplying electricity to 400 square miles of rural Maine through it's Hydro-Electric plant that powered the mill.

The revolver is mechanically sound, shoots great. Price is $325, which includes a booklet from the 50's describing Great Northern Paper Company. Same as above, shipping to your FFL is $25.

Default 38/200 British Service Revolver

Last, we have a Pre-War British Service Revolver, 5" barrel, .38 S&W caliber, original blue finish, no post war proof marks, the only marks on it are a crossed signal flags on the left side frame forward of the cylinder, and what looks like a crown with a "Z4" and "M" on the left side frame above the left grip. There is a "P" on the butt of the revolver forward of the serial number.

Finish is in good shape, a little holster wear at the muzzle and cylinder face, a couple of light scratches here and there, but the revolver looks good. Grips look good, the right grip has an incomplete serial number 76227, revolver serial number is 762275, so I believe these are the original grips.

Mechanically, the revolver is sound with one little glitch, the cylinder is "sticky" upon opening, it doesn't open as smoothly as my other S&W revolvers. Shoots good.

Price is $250, shipping to your FFL $25 extra.
