Arrow Rare Model 46 5 1/2" Heavy Barrel Pistol (SPF)

(SPF) I am pleased to offer this Model 46 with the heavy target 5 1/2" barrel. The serial number dates this one to about 1966-67. S&W made only 500 of these and this one is in excellent original shape as shown. I'd rate it at 98% condition. I'll sell it for $975.00 shipped from FFL to FFL. You may have your choice of the wooden grips shown or the original Model 46 brownish plastic grips.

(Accessories have been sold) No original box, but I can supply a period correct box for a Model 46 7", original plastic grips, paperwork, and cleaning tools, including the proper screwdriver for an additional negotiated price.

Most would label that a Model 41.

The Model 46 was the "budget" version of the Model 41. According to the SCSW, it doesn't have the fine blue finish or extensive machining of the Model 41. A total of 4,000 were manufactured between 1959 and 1968, but only 500 with the 5 1/2" heavy barrel were made between 1964 and 1968.
