I'm going on vacation for two weeks beginning Wednesday, August 12. I'll be back August 26. However, I wanted to post these anyway. I can provide pictures tonight. I'm selling due to unforseen expenses. I hate to let these go but necessity dictates a pruning of the herd. Please note, FIRST "I'LL TAKE IT, GETS IT", questions and requests for pictures do not count as a commitment to purchase. It's the only way I can keep it straight.

S&W 610-3 original production with unfluted cylinder; used in very good condition w/ original box, papers, cable lock, fiber moonclips, 20 metal moon clips; S&W Combat Grips and hogue grips, and installed and original sight, red ramp sight is Weigand; has internal lock; frame mounted firing pin - $600 shipped. ***SPF*** joseywales

S&W 686-CS1 4" excellent condition; bought new originally with original box and papers. Cylinder face is not as matte as the rest of the revolver due to cleaning rings. The rest of the finish is excellent, no lock, hammer mounted firing pin. - $585 shipped. ***SPF*** NH_Joe

I'm back to the house and am taking pictures. I have ones of the 686-CS1 3". I'll have the 610-4 soon. The gun comes with box and all the papers though there are no tools. It is also Jenk's lettered. It came with Packmayrs but I'll also include a decent set of round butt magnas.

I have a quandry. cobra44 was the first definite "I'll take it" without contingency. medicdave however, sent a PM saying he would "take it pending pictures" and posted to the thread prior to cobra44.

So, King Solomon I'm not. I'll have to consider while I take pics of the 610. I want to be fair.

Someone is going to be disappointed and perhaps feel they were slighted. For that I am truly sorry.

However, based on the wording of my initial ad and my intent (which of course only I really know for sure) I believe cobra44 has the edge on the 686-CS1. He was the first to post or PM an unqualified "I'll take it" which was what I intended in the wording of my ad in a desire to make it as clear as possible who would get the gun. Even though he initially asked for pictures only and medicdave said he would take it pending pictures, in the end cobra44 was the first to give the unqualified "I'll take it".

I've lost out on guns before for the same reason so I know how it feels.

An unqualified commitment to "take it" was what was intended in my conditions in the ad even though I might have, and will in the future, make it even clearer.

Though not up to the Wisdom of Solomon, I doubt it would help to offer to either cut the gun in half or send each of you some of the parts. I doubt you would believe me.

I just returned from the South today. All the deals are done, all the guns have gone out and I've heard from everyone except Joe who bought the 686-CS1 4". I expect I'll be hearing from his soon.
