FS Model 63 (Sold pending funds)
***SPF**** Model 63 J frame .22 LR stainless.
There are some minor scratches on the right side which can be seen in the pics.
No box or papers.
I tried to upload the pics but it failed so e-mail me for pics if you are serious.
I checked all the 63s on Gunbroker and Auction Arms and the cheapest was $550.
My price here $450 plus $50 shipping to your FFL. I am not a FFL holder.

It has to be shipped overnight.
Federal Express is who I use. They have raised their rates. I actually doubt it will be as low as $50. The last one was a bigger gun but it cost me over $70.

+1 I shipped for the first time a short while ago from AL to LA (short trip) and UPS was right at $58. I had wished I had charged for shipping or at least the paypal fees after that. I think the consensus is to raise the asking price to lower the shipping cost so it looks like a better deal or have a friendly FFL do the shipping for much less. My dealer is so high volume he prefers not to have to deal with shipping or it would be overwhelming, had I known the cost I might have searched for a smaller local dealer to ship it because even a $20-$30 charge is cheaper. Sorry to interrupt your thread but I hope it helps clarify for anyone who does not know of the high costs.

Well, I shipped this month from VA to MA for $13 FedEx "saver". The counter lady even suggested it and knew what was in the package. Seemed to get there as fast and was returned UPS "adult signature". Dont let these shipper screw over you with their "regulations" which are not in any way "laws".

Send Pics To [email protected]
I will post them in your thread, everyone wants to see the sweet little 22..
I have to mail a handgun later today, I Hope, & will ask about the Fedex "Saver" & will also check with them to see if it's "Legal"..
I've always been told that Guns had to ship "Next Day" as well..

I apologize for hijacking your thread but there is a lot of misinformation being spread around that can end up costing you much more than the amount for overnight shipping.

You were lucky. If you would bother to take the time to read the Fedex tariff on handguns, it could save you a lot of grief in the future. I'm speaking from personal experience as I had a Model 29 lost or stolen by Fedex. When I filed a claim, they told me where to stick is as I did not ship it via priority overnight as is plainly stated in their tariff. Their tariff a federal or a state law but it will stand the test in court if you violate it, have your claim rejected, and pursue it through the courts.

That's the rub .... You ( non-FFL) can send a gun by US mail cheaply if they don't know what is in the box, and as long as it gets there, no problems. But if it is lost, and not found, you will not be able to declare its value as a gun, not collect on its insurance, unless you tell another lie and say it was something else in the box. Then if it is found later, and it was a gun, you will not be able to get the money nor the gun back, and will probably face Federal charges for Mail fraud, etc.
With UPS or FedEx, if you just send the package cheap without disclosure, it's the same basically. It might arrive ok, but if anything goes wrong, you can't get a claim paid.
