Default WTS: S&W M1917 U.S ARMY (non import)... PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

I want to start off by saying that I know I am new here but I am an upstanding member on several other gun forums and I am reputable.

I have a nice original condition Smith&Wesson M1917 for sale. It appears to be all original. Most of the blueing is gone but really has no pitting. Mostly turned a very nice patina. All markings are still fully intact(except 1, please read below pics) and very ledgible. Left side of the barrel is marked S&W D.A.45, top of barrel is marked Smith&Wesson Springfield Mass. and has the patent numbers. Bottom of butt is marked U.S. ARMY Model 1917 and has the serial number. Serial number is 57***. All ordnance markings intact. Cylinder is still timed great and lock up is good. Bore is in very good condition.

Will come with 2 half moon clips.

Below is some pics and I tried to get some good ones to try to show the gun to the best of my ability.

ETA: it has been brought to my attention that this particular S&W was marked " US PROPERTY" on the under side of the barrel but that was machined off at some point. From the honest patina of the area it appears that it was machined off years ago. I have heard that this was common practice among citizens who owned these revolvers post war, but not sure.

Price: $540.00 shipped to your FFL or $500.00 FTF in the southern piedmont of NC.

FTF in the sothern piedmont of NC. FTF must have pistol permit or CCW to show.
