Ammo shortage
Still having a shortage in the Raleigh Wallyworlds. The local gunstores seem to have a fair stock, but most are still limiting the quantities that can be purchased. How is the situation in other areas?

Ammo is tight/expensive here in NY at almost every retail store. Fortunately I have an FFL who gets his ammo right out of the back of trailers coming from the Federal plant, the same depot where Ammoman gets his. The pallets get transferred from the trailer right to his pickup bed.

Sir, the shops I frequent have plenty of ammo on hand. Primers are still scarce, though.
Hope this helps, and Semper Fi.

Fleet Farm is still out of ammo in popular calibers, Wally World is hit or miss. Gander Mountain ammo prices are high which would be a logical explanation as to why they still have an ample supply on hand.

The local WallyWorld has raised its prices on ammunition. It still sells out in 24 hours.
Ammo at gun stores is now plentiful, if very pricey.
Primers are hit and miss. Hardest to find are small pistol and small rifle.

Ammo is tight/expensive here in Central Illinois, from what I have seen. Some places are having a hard time replacing ammo that they sell, even stuff like .45 ACP and .45 Long Colt. Even .22 is expensive. Plenty of shotgun ammo though, it seems.
I bought a box of 50 rounds of Aguilla .45 Auto for $35... I can't imagine that being over $20 in 2007...

Gunner, come on down to Goldsboro - both stores, one on Hwy 70 and one on Spence Ave, just off of 70, usually have some stock of 9mm, .45 and .40. They also usually have .223.

Lots of ammo at the Gander Mountain in Marquette, MI Friday.
There was .223, handgun ammo, and .22LR.
Not the CCI Standard Velocity I was looking for, however.
Prices are still high at GM but have come down a bit elsewhere during sales.

Whatever the local Outdoor place morphed into now has a very improved handgun selection....all at retail +.....and some rifle components....VERY limited powder, NO primers, NO 22 other than 22 short. All the shelves of powder, lead/copper bullets and LOADED ammo are still about 90% empty. Plenty of shot shells.
Wally world here has never been up on much ammo....lots of shot shells (Even the reduced AA minimal 12g loads) if you want 'em for $8.97./box
Absolutely no hand gun ammo.
BiMart is spotty and very limited but if you time it right powder, 22LR, some 45, 40, 9 loads that go very quickly. Lots of 17 HMR.
One local pawn/gun shop has 22LR for $45/brick for Wildcats.

WMs here in Charlotte are doing fairly good at keeping .223 and other rifle calibers in stock. Plenty of shotshells, too.
.22LR, .45 and revolver rounds are pretty scarce, though. And forget about .380 if that is your cup o' tea. Nada.

I was in WM in Burlington, NC today. I saw one brick of 38 special and one of 9mm, and that was it.
I just need some $$ for primers and bullets!

I was at Mission Essential in hinesville and they had several hundred rounds of all the major calibers on display and more than likely several hundred more in the back. The WM down there had just gotten in a shipment and had 8 WWBs of .45.
