They Say it's Yer Birthday. . .Well, Happy Birthday to Ya!
I turned 62 years young at 4:45 a.m. eastern time this morning and am counting my many blessings.
I'm also using this august occasion to reflect on my past and what led me to my current fixation with Smith & Wesson revolvers. In that vein, I discovered the enclosed, taken 60 years ago today, residing in the bottom of an old dresser drawer.

Yeah, I liked those boots too. As I recall, my pearl-handled shiny revolver had just been taken from me for a moment, and held tantalizingly just out of reach. That's what I'm looking at and why I'm grinning like a fool. Disarmed by the female parental unit, as it were.

Bullseye 2620:
I could be your younger brother from another mother, lol. I had some nifty cowpoke duds like that when Dad took us to Frontier Town. I still remember running through a whole role of caps trying to stop the stagecoach robbers from takin' my Ma's gold fillins! Good old days.
Happy Birthday and many happy returns.

Happy birthday, Bullseye. I have a pic my dad shot of me all rigged up in a similar outfit when I was about 4 or 5. Complete with a six-shooter! As the twig is bent, so grows the tree! Many happy returns.

Bullseye,
I'll have to join in wishing you a Happy Birthday as it's mine too, although I'm still a few (but not many) years short of 60. While I don't remember having duds as stylish as yours, I do remember my great-grandfather giving me a two-gun rig of cap pistols. He was deaf as a post and didn't care how much noise I made with those cap guns, however, my grandmother and mother did and they took them away from me. As a side note, my mother is moving out of her house and gave me my great grandfather's desk, a gift made by workers at the CCC camp he commanded in the 30's.
Again, Happy Birthday and many more.
Norm

Happy birthday, safearm, and thanks for all the good wishes, guys.
To those who got 'em: let's see some of those photos of you in your old cowboy outfits, cap pistols, and such!
I'll be posting my birthday gun next week. Stay tuned. . .

Do you realize your birthday is one day before the Air Force's birthday?! Well it is!

Hope this doesn't degenerate into another "It was 20-years ago today" Beatles sing along.
Happy Birthday there, Bullseye!
