does anyone know the lyrics to led zeppelin black dog?
im a big zeppelin fan does anyone know the lyrics to led zeppelin black dog? or the meaning to the song? i just know a few words! i dont know but i been told big legged women aint got no soul! what does that mean?

Sounds like he got burned my a women who I was hot for. She took all his "stuff" and dumped him.
As to the big legs, who knows?? Maybe someone who wants everything??

Black Dog....the Zep version is a classic....while my I-pod shuffles....I always smile when this tune comes up!

One other little bit o' trivia:
Robert Plant's early 1980s band The Honeydrippers was named from the line "watch your honey drip, can't keep away." If you're not hip to The Honeydrippers, check them out. Plant was always into rockabilly, and it shows on this recording.
Lots of question on that link about the meaning of a black dog. In the north country of England, from whence Plant and drummer Bonham hail, a black dog is the equivalent of a black cat in American folklore.
I'll take obscure rock lyrics for $1000, Alex ... heh ...

cowboy thanks for sharing that with us i still like jimmy & roberts version because the brought in the electric guitar & violin hey did you notice robert has a mullet haircut! and at the end he gets water in his face!

Had a dear friend in the music business. He used to enjoy quizzing me about what band did what song. When a song would come up on the radio, he'd ask me who did it. As long as it was classic rock, I'd do ok. Ah, those were the days!
