Anyone else have a problem with time travel?
You know how it can be...Like when you get Jet lag, only worse...
Just last week I was living in the later part of the 1700's and then all of a sudden....I get wisked away back to the future and find myself in modern times again....
Somtimes, it's really hard living between two era's....

That's been a favorite theme of mine since I read, "Mists of Dawn", by Prof. Chad Oliver, as a lad.
I liked that the young hero had his grandfather's Colt M-1911 .45 when he was unexpectedly sent back to 50,000 B.C.
Did any of you read that book? It was published circa 1953. My school library had an old copy.
I liked the episode, "Finn" on "The Lost World", too. It told how the young blonde, Finn, came from 2033 to live with the explorers on a remote plateau in 1922 Brazil. You can watch the entire episode on YouTube, as with all of that TV series. It was rather fun seeing Lord Roxton learn to use an AK-47 and drive an auto transmission "rail" car. And I sort of have a crush on Finn... Sorta liked her crossbow, too.

PROBLEM 1--My current conveyance is stuck in slow forward. Averages aprox 1 minute per minute.
PROBMEM 2--When I try to use mass conveyance the TSB* keeps making my check my S&W Fazer-Blaster Mark II at the gate.
*Temporal Safety Board
P.S. I hate the cavety search. After they remove all my fillings it takes me a week to eat solid foods again.

Saturday I was a happy fella' up here in middle Maine...Pitched my canvas that night, rolled up in my Hudson bay blanket and ground cloth. Had a nice fire to keep me warm. Ate some parched corn, had some tea...went to sleep. Woke up to ice in the firkin. Cooked some breakfast in my brazier that morn.
Monday morning I found myself sidewalling a house on Cape Cod..
Dang....

This brings up new issues...All this time I thought I was in the 1880's...And I have these brief periods of nightmares reflecting todays headlines.
So what your saying is I'm living in Hades and keep drifting back to Heaven!
It's news like this that makes me wish I still drank!

No, no trouble at all. Just made a quick visit to the third century AD for a little fact checking, and the trip was seamless. I congratulated Mr. Peabody on his flawless dial tweaking...

Giz you're just gonna have to fight through it. Making sense out of it is asking too much. Comes with the territory.

The physical effects of time travel doesn't bother me too much. It's the paradoxes I keep creating that annoy me.

I experienced time travel just last month. Went in for a colonoscopy at 11:05 and the the next thing I knew, it was just past noon. Eerie!

For sale one time machine that is broken, won't go into reverse or forward only works on present time calender. Make offer, no reasonable offer refused. would consider trading for a tractor beam transporter. first "I'll take it" followed with a PM gets it.

You better list it on Gunbroker, somebody tried to pay a few million for ammo a while back.

Try lineing the inside of your hat with tin foil. It has worked wonders for me!

According to this flirty little Vulcan...
...time travel is impossible based on the findings of the Vulcan Science Academy. Of course, that didn't stop her from Time-travelling on the odd episode or two of Enterprise.
I'd Time Travel with her anytime. And as I tell my wife, having a crush on T'Pol isn't like having a crush on any other Earthly woman. More or less.

In 1993 I did the 130th Gettysburg reenactment, it hit 99 degrees on July 4th when we did Pickett's Charge. getting in the car, opening the windows and letting the wind cool my head never felt so good. In 1993 I did the Battle of Trenton, it was a very cold winter. getting back to my apartment, putting the kettle on the stove also felt mighty good. Often the best part of Time Travel is getting home.

I wrote out a very informative, insightful and even humorous response to this thread.
Unfortunately I forgot what year I was in. Now you'll have to wait 20 years to read it.

When you are time traveling to NJ, do you ever see the giant elephant down the beach from Atlantic City?
