When I was a Girl Scout (Brownie) Leader, a few of the girls came over to say, "Sarah said the 'S' word!!"
I said, "Scissor?" "Nooo! The 'S' word!"
"Snake?" "Nooo! (giggles)!"
"Scarecrow?" "Nooo! (more giggles) The 'Sh'... word"
"Shower? Sugar?"
They were cute.

Prosecution!
The result of rule violation is properly speaking prosecution not persecution.
You get prosecutor, jury, judge and penal system all rolled into the shape of an 800# gorilla.
Justice will be served!

My rant is the fact that Hippo's kill more people in Africa each year than crocs and you never see a show about Hippopotomus hunters.

A guy drove by me today with one of those pickup bed campers. His entire truck and camper was done in that Real Tree Camo stuff. Now mind you we have no woods in South Florida that remotely look like that camo pattern. Maybe a little in North Florida. Might as well had a Winter All White to blend in with the snow,
After he parks in the woods will he be able to find his truck on the way back from hunting or whatever.??

You mean, unlike the incessant airing of crocodile hunting footage? I've nearly reached the point of not wanting to turn on the TV, because of the ubiquity of crocodile hunting shows to the near exclusion of everything else. I'm with you, let's see some hippo hunting for a change...

I understand y'all have quite the feral Hippo problem out there-what with people turning them loose when they get too big.
BTW-and I'm serious-does anybody know what one of these taste like??? I would think a big pot of white beans and a tub of rice to go with it....

Why must there be a rant everyday? Can't we discuss something positive, or is your life focused on what bothers you all the time?

How about those folks who believe that on-line correspondence needs neither punctuation nor capital letters. Then there's the use of the term "vintage" to describe most any item on auction sites not of current production.

I dislike this perpetual searching for a new rant. What's wrong with the tried and true?
Find a good rant and stick with it, I say.
I like the old wood and blued steel rants, no rants with infernal locks, polymer, or even stainless steel need apply.
Bring back the classics.

Sip,
I think the sweetest revenge of all, is going to be watching all of the 20 somethings (now) turn into deaf as a post 40 somethings. After having years of exposure to sound systems that rival the noise generated by an F-4's fully ladened take off roll!

I couldn't agree more. And I know I'll get burned alive for saying this, but.................
Try this on for size next time you (folks in general, no one specific) feel the need for a mindless rant. Try thinking about the guy who has been out of work for months on end, now his kid won't have a Christmas. Think about the woman that has cancer and her husband is being shipped out to the Army for four years just as she faces another round of chemo, because he lost his job and joining the Army was his last option for providing her with healthcare. Think about the woman that recently lost her kid to a drunk driver. Think about the poor kids around this country that don't get a full meal every day, like you do. Think of the kid that does get to eat, but gets the living daylights beat out of him at the hands of an abusive parent. Or any one of the 1,000's of sad scenarios that people deal with on a daily basis.
People THINK about it!!!! If the thump of some kids music, or the backwards hat on another kid, or the rude customer service you received, or the pansy handshake you felt, or the loud motorcycle, etc. etc. etc. is the worst thing you've had to deal with lately, do you really have it so bad?
I'm with Mickey on this and I'm glad someone finally said something. Let's get over ourselves already and think about how good we really do have it. We're sounding like a bunch of picky, grumpy, extremely judgemental gunowners. See a sterotype in there anywhere?

Oh?
Alright then Dixie.
I'm sorry. Do you promise to tell me what I'm apologizing for later?
Geez! Why have I always been such a sucker for a woman's guilt trip?
Arrrghhhhh...

LOL......no apologies needed from anyone. Especially not to me.
I have had trouble sleeping tonight, or I wouldn't even be here at this hour. I have a job interview today and I guess my nerves have gotten the best of me.
I better go try to find some sleep now or I'm going to be a scarey lookin' mess when the appt. time comes.

You turn this into a positive and say, "I can work under pressure and with very little sleep!" Just don't stick your pen up your nose when you say that.

Isn't that what we are? Almost a bad as hearing women complain(rant) about childbirth
"Amen to that!! I haven't heard this much groaning since I was in labor and delivery! "
It's a joke, it's a joke. I know it's painful, I was there.
Good luck on you interview.
Now on to the rant about INTERVIEWS!

See Dixie!
I knew an apology from a guy would make you feel better. It always works whenever it's tried!
BTW: May you be offered 5K$ more than your salary range!
