Black&White squirrels
The woman's prison I work at is in the county so we are suronded by cornfields, trees and plenty of wildlife. We have woodchucks, possum, raccoons and all sorts of stuff. We even have deer and coyotes, so we always tell the inmates to leave the animals alone.
Earlier this week we had the inmates at outside recreation and an young inner city lady was outside and found a black and white squirrel she approached it and it sprayed her. Did I forget to mention we have skunks too.
I used her as a lesson to the others leave the animals alone.

If those sort of women learned by seeing what happened to others, they might not now be in your custody.

Cause and effect is an excellent teacher....if it doesn't kill you first.

We tell them all th etime to leave the wildlife alone, but some just don't listen. We also have a badger that lives on grounds he wanders around minding his own business most days.
A few years ago one of the inmates decided that he was bothering her so she chased him with a stick until he had enough and chased her. She was lucky to stay ahead of him and not get ripped apart.

Not to go off thread but we do have Black & White Squirrels here, They are called Sherman’s Fox Squirrels.(Scirurus niger shermani) Very interesting color patterns, some look like Raccoons with long bushy tails.

July 1969 right at the start of basic training at Ft Leonard Wood and one of those black and white squirrels went under the barracks. A city boy went in after it. Damn but that does stink when the temp is 95 and so is the humidity.

We have Fox squirrels in Ga as well. They are HUGE compared to a gray squirrel. The first time I saw one I thought it was a house cat, and wondered why it was sitting on a log eating acorns. And it was black and white in color.

At Western Kentucky University when I was in school there they actually have albino squirrels on one side of campus and regular squirrels on the other I thought that you all just had half albino squirrels but now I know what you are talking about.
At the park where I work there are tons of stray cats that hang around the dumpsters, apparently a couple of years ago all the cats got into it with a bunch of skunks because everytime one of those cats would walk by you could smell skunk really strong.
