Just curious as to the average time it takes for a C&R license to be approved. I just received the application in the mail and have not fileld it out yet. Would like to here from C&R holders as to how long after sending in the app. did it take for you to get the license? Also, do the ATF visit you to see your set up for a C&R like they do when you get an FFL?

3 months here as well....no...no visit

I had a problem getting the forms but after I submitted my application it took about two weeks. I also have a CCW permit, maybe that helped it get approved in a short time.

Just under two months, as I recall. No visit. And two months after I got the license, they sent me a thick package of all the regs I needed to know to use it correctly.

Had mine a couple years, took about 3 mo. If you do a search you will find a couple posts that mention having had visits in the recent past. I never have had. The regs state that a C&R may take their bound book to the BATF office rather than have the BATF coming to your residence "IF" you are notified they want a visit. When you get the regs they send you, read them a couple times. You will find conflicting answers on several points.
