Default A little Knowledge can be bad

This week I stoned a 25-2 so that the trigger didn't bind in double action.previous owner made a mess inside, had nothing to lose and had already taked to S&W about doing a trigger repair. It went well so the next thing was a mod 36 that went well also. Took the side plate off my anaconda and instantly made it a double action only. Could not get it to cock single action. Fussed for a hour before Ifiguered out that the hammer spring retaner plate was in backwards. Nothing wrong with looking but haveing a diagram around is definitely recommended. Or just maybe if it ain't broke dont fix it .

At least you won't make the same mistake again, lol. Glad to hear both little guys are better than new.

I know how you feel.Years ago I took apart an ailing Marlin lever .22, only to have a spring fly out of the action at twice the speed of light. The thing remained hidden for 3 days, and I thought I was going to have to try to find another one somewhere, but it turned up and I learned a lesson.

Oh Boy; Does that bring back some unpleasant memories. Cost me some bucks to find out I wasn't a gunsmith.
