Default soliciting recommendations for garage hardware to organize garden and similar tools

I already have the shelving up for the smaller items. What I'm wanting to do is mount something on another wall on which to hang brooms, shovels, sledge hammer, chipper, squeegee, and etc. As usual, the choices are legion. What I'm looking at most closely at this point is a 2'x4' wall grid by Schulte which allows one to move the hooks vertically and horizontally so as to use the space as efficiently as possible. I don't want to spend anymore than I have to on this, but on the other hand I've used the old "drive two spikes in the wall and place the tool between them" method in the past, and I no longer feel that that is satisfactory, particularly in the very limited space with which I have to work. I want to be able to use a few of those extended hooks which permit the hanging of two or three tools in one place.

Soooo, to those inclined to chime in, tell me what you have or have had, why you like it or don't like it, and so on. I would be interested particularly in anyone's experience with the Schulte grid mentioned earlier.

As always, thank you for your time and suggestions.
Andy

My shop door is 4' wide. I hang shovels, brooms, rakes, etc on the backside of this. I think I saw this setup on TV (New Yankee Workshop). It works great, the door is swung open wide when I am in there, and the tool are easy to get to. When the door is closed, they are put up and out of the way.

This is for my "go to" stuff, the rest gets the nail routine, or hangs from a large J hook in a ceiling joist.

What about a 1/4" 4X8 foot piece of peg board. Cheap
and easy to put up. Don

At Lowes or HD I bought the metal strips that are about 4 feet long and have long tabs to hang shovels and big items on. They work OK but you could also just put a 1x4 up and put some big landscaping nails in it.

I use slat wall in my garage, and my shed to organize. Additionally I have various cabinets, and work benches to help keep me organized. I will try to load some pictures later of mine as I am rather proud of it. I hear the same response from folks every time....... " Holy Cow This is Impressive!" The garage is my favorite room in the house.
