I just met Bart Skelton
He was in the office here on some gubmit business. A very nice guy who looks like he could handle himself in a scrape. I told him I really liked his writing and was glad to see him going over to Shooting Times. Class act.

I'll bet he's a pretty nice guy. I think he's posted on here in the past.

I just received my copy of Guns & Ammo is the mail with Bart Skelton's last article titled "Hasta La Vista." As I read it, I was saddened to learn he wouldn't be writing for G&A anymore.
Then I got to the end and learned he will be switching over to Shooting Times in the near future. Both magazines are owned by the same company and are not arch enemies like they used to be.
I think it's pretty neat that Bart will be writing for the same magazine his dad was with for pretty much his whole career as a gun writer.
I enjoy Bart's monthly article. I look forward to when he retires from law enforcement and can actually start telling some of his tales....

I guess I'll have to get a ST subscription now. Bart is one of the few "new" writers I enjoy. I really miss Finn Aagard, Jeff Cooper, Charlie Askins, Skeeter Skelton, Peter Capstick, and those guys. Other than Bart, Clint Smith, and John Taffin, I can't really even name any. I'd have loved to sit down with some of those older gentlemen, had a refreshing adult beverage, and just listened.

Skelton Fan
His father was one of my favorite writers of that genre. In the 70's and 80' when I got a new gun mag, I usually read Skeeter's article(s) first. I enjoyed th "Jug Johnson" stories. I have found I like Bart's writing also.
