Default Bart Skelton

I was reading my latest Guns & Ammo magazine last night. On the last page, written by Bart Skelton, he said this would be his last for Guns & Ammo.

I've always enjoyed Down on the Border, written by him. He's going with Shooting Times, which I don't get. I miss Jeff Cooper, who used to have the back page.

I read that too. His father was with Shooting Times for many years. I wish him well in his new endeavor.

I prefer Shooting Times to Guns and Ammo.

Bart indicated in his last piece that he was not yet at liberty to write about his law enforcement experiances . . . when he is, I suspect that's where his really good stories will come from.

His dad is still my favorite gunwriter. I actually felt like I lost a friend when Skeeter died. I haven't read Bart much but I'm sure he had a hell of an education on all things gun related from his dad and all the industry people while growing up.

While not as good as the magazines themselves, and you can't take them into the reading room, both of those magazines can be found free on the net. Just go looking for them.
I read what there is for both, as well as handgun magazine, and rifleshooter.
If you don't have good tv, or you missed a show, you can also find shooting usa and shooting times streaming on the net as well.

I just read Bart's first Back Page column in Shooting Times. It was a well written story about a trip he and Skeeter took when Bart was a kid. I think ST just got better.
