Default Two Main Springs

I remember that there was a post concerning a revolver with two main springs a couple days earlier and I am wondering if someone knows and has the insight(story) on the particular model or models this (strange or may be not so strange) different design? I am really interested in a photo showing the internals of this design and the advantages and disadvantages of said design. Does anyone have such a photo and will you be willing to post it here? Any information you are able to offer is very much appreciated. Thanks and Happy New Year!

If you are talking about the photos of a .32 HE with the stocks off and two flat springs roughly parallel? That is the early style of Hand Ejector lockwork with a rebound lever driven by the front flat spring instead of the later, roughly 1905, style that used arebound slide driven by an internal coil spring. One main (hammer) spring, one rebound spring, not two mainsprings.

Default Two springs exposed when stocks removed

Thanks alk8944, I could not remember the details but your explanation is right on. I even looked for the old post but could not find it since the heading under which it appeared could not be remembered either. Thanks again and Happy New Year!

Here's a picture that may help show what you wanted. It's M&P 1st Model from Jan. 1901.
