New Copy of Standard Catalog of S&W
To all forum members, I helped a guy on the Rugerforum purchase a Ruger Hawkeye .256 Win Mag. He was grateful for my assistance and insisted on sending me a present.
He sent me a brand new copy of Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, 3rd Edition which retails for $39.95. It is a very generous gift, the book is beautiful with copious color photos but with my preferences for things like Model 500s, it is wasted on me. I would prefer it go to a serious collector who could put it to better use than I would mostly collecting dust on a shelf.
The most equitable way to deal with this is to take the first 10 people to email me at [email protected]. I'll put the names in a hat and choose one. This is free although I wouldn't object if the winner paid for the postage but I'm not going to worry about that.
One caveat, PLEASE don't discuss this with the people on Rugerforum, I might be seen as ungrateful when I am trying to give a beautiful book a good home.

I'm just kidding, I really think that is a commendable thing to do. I don't need my name in the hat. I now have two copies. We have two homes, one in the "city" and one in the country. I commented one day before Christmas that I needed two copies of SCSW so I wouldn't have to lug it back and forth. My wife took me at my word and had my Mama buy me a second copy for Christmas.
