OK! How about .22 handguns!
Gunlovingirl has such a great .22 rifle thread going how about some handguns! I had mine out a couple of weeks ago and took a couple of pictures.
Here is Shep on guard duty-he watches for intruders when the guns come out!
! I need practice taking pictures! So much fun!
They are almost all favorites!

WOAH!!!!!!! they all look great.. Is that a Colt ACE .22lr?
This is the only .22lr pistol I've got. It's made of pot metal so I usually only use it when I'm shooting with a beginner so they can get a feel for shooting.
It's a Jennings J-22 .22lr circa 1975

Here is one of a kind. It is not mine, but I have handeled it. My mentor and friend Duke Duvall, now deceased, had his brother in law, Al capone , who used to own kings gun works in Los Angeles, build it up. It is a colt SAA, converted to .22 lr. The clyinder is sawed in two with the front stationary, showing .45 holes, as the front of the barrel shows a 45 hole. However a 22 barrel goes through the front of the clyinder and a .22 clyinder revolves behind it. As you can see, it has the rare longer grip frame. His daughter, a retired deputy still owns it. The gun was on the cover of guns magazine about in the late 50s or early 60s.

I've had other .22's, but these stayed with me.
Thanks for starting the thread, nice guns, every one of them.
These three pretty much capture what fun it is to shoot a .22. At
least, for me.

What a great looking bunch of guns! Thanks for posting them all. I can see I will have to work on photo skills!
kobsw-if you were asking me about one of my guns being a Colt Ace? No, one is a Llama XV that I have had for about 20 years, the other is a Kimber.

PC Shop customized 17-8 and early Ruger Bisley Single-Six

Old Model Super Single-Six (unconverted)
Nickel Model 17-3 (unfortunately not shipped that way, but returned to be factory nickled soon after it was shipped)

Howdy!
Howdy,
Paladin's High Standards spin my wheels. I like that target stuff.
Here are a few.
The GSP is no longer with me. It was a hoot and had a Lombardi barrel. It was a chunk of Marlin Micro Groove in an aluminum sleeve and would shoot into 1/2" at fifty when I was testing ammo and had a 16X rifle scope on it. I shot it well but never thought it was a comfortable gun.
I cant find a comfortable .22 but I'm looking.
Thanks and thanks for the pictures too!
Mike
